Nansen Florals Nansen Malin, owner 360-244-3294 nansenflorals.com What started with Nansen Malin, a small pig statue and some metal wire at her kitchen table, would eventually blossom into a wholesale busi- ness that employed more than a dozen people dis- tributing a variety of topiaries around the world. Today, Malin, 67, operates a decidedly smaller floral business from her Seaview home — still offering topiaries — but catering to a different cli- entele that largely involves local weddings and events that call for whimsical floral creations from succulent wreaths to flower crowns and unique bouquets. “I used to wholesale topiaries. I started at my kitchen table and ended up in a warehouse with 14 employees. We would crank out everything from succulent wreaths for Martha Stewart to Edward Scissorhands,” Malin said while touring her home- built Seaview greenhouse in April.
