Hansard guilty o f the illegal iMissession o f intoxicating liquor and he was sentenced to pay a fine of $250 and to serve HO days in jail. Zeno Hansard, charged with being a participant in the same offense, was acquitted. Evert Hansard, who had previously pleaded guilty to the charge and was given a heavy fine, was one o f the five witnesses brought in to testify in Iho case, and his testimony made it appear that he was tho only one nctunlly concerned in tho affair. Tho testimony o f the father, O. B. Hansard, was to the effect that his son bud llie liquor in his house without his knowledge or consent. This wn* controverted by Hheriff Htickels, who reminded the court that there were bottles of moonshine found in vnrious parts of the house nnd it wns iropmb able that the man could not hnvo been nwure of it* presence.
