Teacher Needed In Delight Val'ey The Cisco Kid of movie and tele vision fame will be on hand for the August 3-5 Emerald Empire Roundup in Eugene Members of the Emerald Em pire Roundup Assn., board an nounced the signing of Duncan Renaldo this week, and promised that he will be seen at all round- up events. The Cisco Kid. who is featured on television over KVAL, is ex pected to arrive in Eugene on Thursday. August 2. He will travel with a group of stunt men and riders, as well as Rex Rossi, champion trick rider and roper. His famous horse, "Diablo," will also be on hand. D. W. Carley, parade chairman, announced this week. This year the junior parade and grand parade will be combined into one large event, beginning at 1 30 p.m. on Saturday of the Em erald Empire Roundup weekend, Sgt Carley said. Entry blanks for the junior pa rade, for youngsters 16 and under, may be picked up anytime now. The junior parade will join the grana parade at a downtown point, and will disband at 13th and Olive. Prizes for the junior parade have been increased this year. There will be a $50 prize for the best entry. Prizes of $20 will go to the best cowboy, best cowgirl and best Indian. Second prizes of $10 will be given in these three categories, and third prizes will be grandstand tickets to one of the three rodeo performances scheduled over the August 3-5 weekend. Prizes for the grand parade will be $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $25 for third place Individuals, organizations or firms wishing to write for entry blanks should send their requests to Emerald Empire Roundup, Po lice Department, City Hall, Eu 1 He never bites anyone who has gene. The barbecue will be at Pioneer Park (Lane County Fairgrounds) beginning about 6 pm. on Thurs day, August 2. according to Dick Langton, member of the Emerald Empire Roundup Assn, board of directors. Langton said two beefs have been donated, and will be bar- becued in pits dug for that pur music and entertainment through pose on the fairgrounds.
