Reflections
For the first time in our his
tory there is a sanctuary in
Washington D.C. where law
makers may go to lift up their
thoughts to their God. These
sagacious men from every part
of our county find silence,
peace and divine guidance in
their Prayer Room.
We are welcome in any
church in Cottage Grove. When
trouble mounts, the way seems
blocked, go to your Church,
life up your voice, your heart,
to God. Troubles vanish. Road
blocks tumble.
The way is
clear.
We little realize the pitch in
which we’re living; talk is end
less over telephone, radio. T.V.,
socially. Newspaper headlines
are frightening Sirens scream,
brakes screech, Every part of
our being cries out for a mo-
ment of silence, a place where
we may commune with God,
find solace, strength, direction
to a richer, more beautiful life.
We find it in the sanctuary of
a church.

FRIENDS I Let Me Mtk You a Simple Question
Are vou too fat because you eat too much?
Would you like to lose fat but you just can't
control your appetite and like to eat too much
of the wrong kind of food? Do you like sweets,
candy, cake and are you a real glutton when it
comes to butter, gravy, potatoes? Have you
tried one thing after another to reduce, spent
dollar after dollar for pills and tablets and in
spite of everything you’ve tried you’re still
too fat?
