Page B
The cancer death rate among
women has dropped 10 per cent
in the last decade. That’s "ood
news Participation in Neighbor-
to-Neighbor Week for the Ameri
can Chancer Society in Cottage
Grove, which is this week, is a
good way to help bring about a
greater decline.
Some 15.000 women died of
uterine cancer last year but 8,-
600 of them could have been saved
through earlier detection. A trip
to a doctor twice a year by women
over 35 for a simple examination
would eliminate that needless loss.
When you help the ASC you are
helping women everywhere to this
knowledge and helping science in
its effort to eliminate death from
uterine cancer altogether.
