brated their silver wedding anni-
' versary at the Rod and Gun club

ding cake baked by Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Josh, brother and sister-in-
law of Mrs. Thiede, was cut by
Mrs. Josh.
Mrs. James Etzelmiller poured
the coffee and Mrs. Evelyn Tal­
bert solved the punch.
Mmes. Henry Atp, Henry Styn-
kleft and Harry Nord served ice

Josh and Darlene Schmidt.

Two Dads Honored
At Sunday Picnic
Two dads. Ray Perkins of Cres­
well and Dave Cooper of Cottage
Grove, were honoied Sunday with
a Father’s Day picnic given by
friends and relatives at the Wil­
son Creek park.
A picnic lunch was spread on
midafternoon. Fishing

occupied the men while the ladies
visited. Later in the afternoon
Carlos, son of Carl and Mrs.
Perkins, slipped and fell back-
wards in deep water. His parents
were near and rescued him im­
mediately.
