Late Friday night in Tillimook during the Grand Assembly, Mary Margaret Cothrell and Patsy Pynes ran into the armory where they were staying. They rushed over to Mrs. Rickard saying "what will we do with this?” Their fists were full of paper money all crumpled up like waste paper. They explained that they had found the entire $39 of dollar bills on the street. Mrs. Rickard pat the money in a paper sack then called the police station to in quire whether any money had been reported lost. She was immediately given a name and address of a woman who had reported the money lost. It was returned the next moi ning.
