Published by The Sentinel, Cottage Grove, Oregon Grange Plans For Initiation CRESWELL Creswell Grange spent a busy session last Thursday evening planning various activi ties. Clarence Jackson presided at the meeting. Mrs. Irene Vertrees was obli gated in the first and second de- giees. Practice was scheduled for both degree staffs at the hall March 30 in preparation for in itiation. Under committee reports orchardists were reminded that now is the time to spray for the cherry fiuit fly and for brown rot control. The master, Clarence Jackson, also read information re garding 4-H club work. A plant and shrub exchange was held. The legislative committee com mented on the 16th anniversary of the rural fiee delivery now being observed and noted that it was originally sponsored by the Grange. Bills pending at the cur rent session of the state legis lature were also reviewed. The home economics committee named Messrs, and Mmes. B. Echols, A. E. Elmendorf and Frank Gardner to serve refresh ments at the April 19 meeting. She was milked two times daily, and was eight years, seven months of age when she began her testing period. Her record averages approxi mately 22 quarts of milk daily for the period covered by the test. Dora Martin, who live» at the corner of Oregon Avenue and Fifth .treet, has always been a great lover of flowers and »pends much of her time with them in her garden. But now she can't do that. Sunday evening someone came in the yard and picked every one of the flowers.
