FIRST 1949 MEETING
The first regular meeting of the
Dorena Grange during the new
year was held January 6.
Third and Fourth Degree obliga­
tions were given to Betty Hulse
by the Master, Philip Lake.
Building committee reported
they need more lumber for the new
hall, but have been unable to ob- j
tain it becaus of the county road
load limit due to the freezing
weather.
A discussion was hold on wheth­
er to put on aluminum roofing or
composition shingles. The deci­
sion was left up to the building :
committee.
Mary Arne anhounccd her inten­
tion to resign from the office of
Home Ec. Chairman, and she was ,
elected Lecturer in place of Mary
Snauer who resigned at the last;
meeting.
The officers who were absent
from installation held at Creswell
December 13 were installed after
the meeting by the Master.
The next Youth Group meeting'
will be held at Sherrills, and the
main business will be the planning
of the year’s work.

played around the fireplace and re­

hostesses. Myrtle Johnson and Jane

Johnson, Mrs. Carpenter and the
Rev. Frank Brown.
