He received the unanimous ballot of his party at the recent primary. The nomination was a rare oc casion as it was one ot the very few times in the history of the college that a sophomore has been nominated for the presidency. Howard also recently served on a committee of 12 to re-write the school constitution. Plans Are Released for Sewerage System and Disposal Plant Here Questions About City Government Of primary interest to all cit izens in and around Cottage Grove are plans for the new sewer sys tem and sewage disposal plant, which will be constructed in the next several years at an engineer’s estimated cost of approximately $400,000.00. To finance this large project ’hat has been required by state law for Cottage Grove and other Oregon towns with antiquated systems, persons will pay a sewer service charge effective April 20. The city council has passed an or dinance authorizing the chargee, which will go into a sinking fund. The council also has accepted as a preliminary master plan the sur vey of Mr S. C.
