PARTY BV GUILD
The home of Mrs. George
Macready on South Third street
was beautifully decorated sym
bolic of the Christmas season, in-
' chiding a tree adorned with many
1 lights and ornaments, on Thurs-
। day night as the members and
friends of the Women’s Service
Guild of the Methodist church
partook of their Christmas dinner
at small tables arranged in the
living and dining rooms.
Silent Sisters for the past year
were revealed and exchanged gifts,
after which election of officers
was held. Vuelta Scott was elected
' president; Elsie McCiarnan, vice
president: Edna Pillar, secretary
and Lola Crane, treasurer. For
the devotional service a recording
of "Why the Chimes Rang," was
played. It was announced at the
business meeting that $152 was
realized from their recent bazaar.
Guests included Mrs. Keith
Wooley. Mrs. Sterling Macready.
Mrs. Lester Gates. Mrs. Kenneth
Hickok and Mrs. Galo Lighthill of
Valentine, Nebraska, house guest
of her sister, Mrs. R. C. Bowser.
CLUB ENTERTAINS FAMILIES

Grands club and their families met
in the LOOF hall Thursday eve
ning for a Christmas dinner. Fol
lowing the dinner election of offi
cers was held with Millie Hodg
son being elected president; Mel-
vie St. Elmo, vice president; Elsie
Currin, secretary.
The next meeting will be the
last Thursday in January, which
will be a 12:30 covered dish din
ner. and Pollyannas will be re
vealed and names drawn for Pol
lyannas for the coming year. In
stallation of officers will also be
held at this time.
