America has a glorious past history in that we have never
been invaded; have m v er lost a war, we have never fought
a w ar for territo rial gains. Pioneering of the west was also a
feat w orthy of its place in our history, but these aeeomplish-
ments as noble as they may lie except for the inspiration which
the pages of history may furnish us, w on’t help us in the present
struggle. We have a w ar to win and a life to live and c a n ’t live
in the past, we must live in the future.
