How Cottage Grove Voted
Four Cottage Grove precincts east approximately a th irty per-
cent vote Friday in the primaries, which was a fair average over the
state. Under wartim e conditions the interest was considered fair. In
the tab'e below, Only three offices are listed where • andidutes had no
opposition. A lta King was given a nice complimentary vote as justice
of the peace on the republican ballot, as was Joseph Safley for con
stable on the same ticket. Earl H ill led the republican ticket for rep
resentative of the l lth district w ith a vote of 271.
Warliek. democratic candidate for congress, although defeated
over the district, was given a nice vote against his two opponents.
