Dale Bennett to Miss Doris Fend­
er, which was solemnized May
2nd in Yuma, Arizona. Mr. Ben­
nett is now a student in airplane
mechanics in the arm y camp at
San Monica, California. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Ben­
nett and a graduate of the C o t­
tage Grove high school with the
class of 1936.
Mrs. Bennett was form erly a
resident of Seaview, this state,
and a graduate of the Seaview
high school with the class of 1940.

The Director of Defense Transportation has issued
a general order curtailing local delivery services
ns a rneahs of conserving tran-tpertation facilities
and equipment.
Effective May 15, local carriers are forbidden to
make any special deliveries except to hospitals
and the armed forces of the United States, and
exetpt emergency deliveries of supplies necessary
to protect public health, life and safety. Effective
May 15, callbacks made in a second attempt to
deliver shipments on the same day cr to make col­
lections arc prohibited, and carriers may not moke
more than one delivery to any one person in a
single day. However, if deliveries to one person
are so large os to require mere than one vehicle,
this may be considered as a single delivery.
