be held in C orvallis during De­
cember, according lo a decision
made by the state corn show com­
m ittee. The com m ittee decided lo
hold the show on December 12
and 13 and also decided to conduct
a hybrid corn yield contest as a
p art o f the show, according to In­
form ation received at the office
of O. S. Fletcher, county agent.

ing the German armies was the

dergo more hardships on the arm y
diet than any arm y in the world.
Miss Inglis, speaking on some
o f the objectives o f the national
n u tritio n conference, said the
average fa m ily was often guided
in food m atters by w hat one mem­
ber o f the fa m ily m ight like and
usually this was too much meat,
gravy and potatoes. H er job, she
said, was to teach fu tu re home
makers how to prepare the rig h t
kind of food in an a ttra ctive man­
ner, to insure proper physical
well-being and to lessen diseases
caused by a lack of vitam ins.
