Mr. Maloney stated that the tux of 10 per cent, ini|*>scd on re tail sale« of jewelry, toilet prepa rations, and furs, became effec tive October I, and that these tuxes would affect many dealers who were ordinarily not classed as Jewelers, druggists, or fur deal ers.
