At the business meeting, plans were made fo r entertaining the Southern Lane D istrict Leaders' meeting. Materials for the use of club members have been purchas ed. It was decided that the group would work on room improvement articles, learning h o w useful pieces of furniture may be reno vated and made. At the next meet ing there w ill be a demonstration on making a dressing table stool from a small keg. Those wishing to SBSfee stools fo r their homes are asked to bring their materials and start work at the regular meeting to be held March 26th. at the home of Mrs. Norman Bachel- der. Following the business meeting, the members worked at needle point. Refreshments were served at the tea hour by the hostess, Mrs. Banton. New members welcomed were Mrs. James Bethune. Here the low temperature was reached Friday morning w ith a reading of 22 above zero, accord ing to C. E. Stewart, weather ob server. In commenting on the freezing weather which occurred here last week Mr. Stewart said he never saw fru it take so much punish ment and survive. The crop here was not as hard hit as in the low er part of the valley or in the Medford vicinity.
