Prospects for Big
Y ear 1941 Models
Indications that the 1941 model
season w ill be one of the greatest
sale* volume year* in the recent
history of the automobile business
Is seen in the reports reaching
here from the leading motor trade
executives who have just return
ed to D etroit after covering the
| "auto show circuit" and attending
crowded auto shows in the leading
metropolitan centers throughout
the country.
“The California ay to shows were
no exception to the nation.wide
rule, os both the San Francisco
and I xm Angeles m o t o r shows
played to record crowds this year
with dealers reporting that buying
showed an increase of from 20 to
25 per cent over the sales for the
same period of last year,” W ilbur
Wilson of Woodson Motors, local
Ford dealer, said Monday.
"The big news of the auto shows
for the motor car shopping public,
however, is the fact that compari
sons made at the show by im par
tial trade observers showed that
Ford for 1941 offers the greatest
value in its long history. N ot only
is it the biggest Ford ever built
, but it is the biggest car in com
parison with the famous big three
in the low price field," continued
Mr. Wilson. " It wits proved that
Ford, by actual measurements is
biggest
inside, where
bigness
counts and therefore offers more
knee room, more leg room, more
comfort and more convenience to
both driver and passengers than
form er Ford models or competi
tive 1941 offerings,” according to
M r. Wilson.
"O ther measurements w h i c h
prove Ford bigness are: Ford is
longest from windshield to rear
window; Ford gives the most seat
ing width; Ford offers the most
frontseat headroom; it has the
biggest doors, windows and wind
shield. thus giving the passengers
and driver* greater vision; and
important from the standpoint of
riding comfort is the fact that
Ford has the longest springbase
of the big three in the highly com-
petitive low priced field," continu
ed the local Ford dealer.
"The Ford dealer* have launch-
ed. through the newspaper* this
month, one of the large*t cam-
paigns In their history to acquaint
the motor car shopper w ith the
fact that never before has the
public been offered in this attra c
tive low cost field any low priced
car with l)odi<>s so roomy, seats so
wide, doors so big and vision area
so great as the 1941 Ford, and in
viting the public to compare Ford
w ith the ‘other two’.
