THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2R, 1939 THE SENTINEL. COTTAGE GROVE. OREGON Thirty-Six Men Normal Progress On Dam Reported Wool, Mohair Growers Get Break In Market Wool and mohair growers over the United States who have wool or mohair to sell will get a break due to the rising prices. Mohair prices have increased about forty percent since last spring and wool almost as much. The main difficulty of course is that prac tically all wopl and mohair has been sold. A shipment of 4,800 pounds of mohair was made from here yesterday to Portland and except for hair in storage this represents the only unsold hair from this section so far as known. Today mohair is bringing the grower forty cents per pound, against twenty-five cents per pound last spring. Lamb’s wool is quoted at twenty-seven cents and year's growth wool at thirty- five cents per pound.
