To Be Set Soon
Within a short time 1940 wheat
allotments will be set tor Lane
OOUBtY and notifications will bi
mail<*d to all fanners signed up
under the agricultural conserva­
tion program, according to Ray­
mond A. Johnson, chairman of the
Lane «-ounty agricultural conser­
vation committee.
Any farm on which wheat was
gro vn in one or more of the three
years 1937. 1938. or 1939, will re­
ceive an allotment based on the
average wheat acreage grown
during th«- four-year period 1935
to 1938, inclusive.
Farmers may request adjust­
ment of allotment* If they are
dissatisfied. Flftwn day* from th«-
date shown on th«- allotment notl-

to appeal to the county commit­
tee for reconsideration giving rea­
sons lor any adjustment request­
ed.
