Lane County Health Association Holds Annual Meeting 5th The Lane county health asso­ ciation completed its annual meet­ ing in Eugene Monday evening and adopted a constitution and by-laws. Reports were given by Dr E. L. Gardner, county health officer, and Dr. Margaret Tingle, acting health officer during the absence of Dr. Gardner. A. L. One Hurt When Car Overturns Near Walker Saturday A new Chevrolet coupe, driven by Frances Hughes, overturned near Walker Saturday afternoon, injuring Audrey Turner, com­ panion of Miss Hughes. The in­ juries of Miss Turner, however, were not serious. She received several cuts, but none serious enough to require hospital treat­ ment. The car is said to have turned over in a field after It went out of control. The two were brought to Cot­ tage Grove by Jeff Turner, father of the injured girl. , 500 ATTEND SHRINE CEREMONIAL Approximately 500 Shriners participated in the Shrine cere­ monial at Eugene over the week end, including twenty Shriners from here. The initiation cere­ mony was held at the Eugene Armory for twenty-eight candi­ dates. The banquet at the Eugene hotel Saturday evening, attend­ ed by 500 Shriners, was one of the high-lights of the ceremonial. V.F.W. DISTRICT MEET At a meeting of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in the armory last evening, District Inspector Baker of district No. 5 extended an invitation to all members of POST S473 to attend the district! convention to be held at Lebanon on June 11th.
