Ten years ago a dilapidated mining shack, built as an assay office, slid down a hill, landing squarely in 125 foot circle, within whose bounds there operates or ap|x*ars to op erate a strange force. No one has been able to explain how the peculiar spot affects the force of gravity. A person standing in the shack leans or appears to lean as much as 714 percent from the normal vertical position of the body. Radio reception is better inside than out side the house. Some persons become dizzy or nasuated after they have been in the house any length of time. Martin Motors Service Station FOR SALE Bert McGuire, Prop. Buyers, how ever, are reported hesitant in es tablishing a price because of the nature of the market at the pres ent time. Indications now point to a probable market of from three and a half to five cents, depend ing on the variety. At Salem, the market is expected to open short ly, but so far buyers are hesitat ing on the price, fearful that if a high price is established, can neries at other places will be able to fill their requirements at a much lower price from the sur plus crop.
