Cottage Grove golfers will start the opening round of a spring handicap tournament Saturday and continue until a champion is named for each of the 7 flights. Players have been grouped in flights according to their handi caps and opponents for the first round determined by drawing lots. All first round matches must be finished by Saturday, May 21, and one round completed each week thereafter. Players are re quested to arrange with their op ponents for each match In ad vance so the tournament can con tinue on schedule. Alford ranch of 280 acres, located 34 miles northwest of Cottage Grove, wax sold to Robert Floyd of Culp Creek. Mr. Floyd purchased this ranch as an investment. The O. V. Pay house and lot lo cated on north Douglas street has been purchased by H. Clark Rey nolds. formerly of Colorado. Mr. j Reynolds purchased the place as an investment and has made sev eral improvements. The Susan Elizabeth Hubbard property on the west side has been sold to W. L.
