president of the Lane County unit
of the Wildlife Federation, wh«n

cember meeting, and accepted with
regret the resignation of Prealdcnt
P«rry A. Thompson, supervisor of
the Willamette national forest. Mr.
Thompson has been called to Wash­
ington, D. C., for six months.
Carle, former vice president of
the umt, was not present at the
meeting last week, and in the
