It is possible to buy a suit of clothes for $15, but a $35 suit will wear lour times as long as the $15 suit ami look like a suit un til it is worn out. It is possible to buy a davenport tor $15, but a $50 davenport will last five times as long as the $15 one and will l o o k like something until worn out. It is possible to buy a dress tor $5, but a $15 dress will, wear live times as long as the $5 one, and w i l l remain attractive un* worn out. It is sometimes possible to buy lumber at $5 the thousand, but there is many times the value in lumber that costs $20 a thou sand, and what a difference in the kind of job it does! It is possible to buy window curtains at 50 cents each, but the kind that cost $2 each will last ten times as long as the 50 cent ones, and will look like something until their life of usefulness is past. It is possible to buy printing from c i t y bedroom shops that costs less than that purchased from legitimate shops that em ploy competent philters at decent wages; it is possible to buy imitations of printing at prices lower t h a n the price of real printing, but no city bedroom shop e v e r produced a job of printing that looked anything like that produced by real print ers, and there is no imitation of printing t h a t in appearance com^s anyw U re near equalling printing. Those who have pride in their stationery, in their printed publicity, buy real printing produced at a fair price by men who are paid decent wages, men who work in shops that respect the eight hour day; shops that contribute heavily to the upkeep of government. No m atter what you buy, you seldom get a bargain by buying by price alone. Make sure that what you buy is worth the money you pay, as compared with the service you would get from an article higher in initial cost. I
