At the close of the campaign January 14 the contestant having the
greateit number of votes will be awarded firit prize, $250 in gold. The
next five high confestants will be rewarded as outlined in another part
of this advertisement. Everyone will be paid something and he will

HOW TO ENTER—WHAT TO DO.
The first thing to do is to clip the nomination coupon below, fill in
your name and addreag and mail or deliver to this newspaper at once.
This coupon entitles you, or the person whom you wish to enter, to 6,000
free votes. These votes are given as a starter to speed you on your way
to win. Only one such ooupon will be accepted from each applicant.
The next step is to call or write the Campaign department for a
free working outfit. Thus equipped you have but to see your friends
and acquaintances and have them subscribe to this newspaper through
you. That’s all there is to it. However, you will never get anywhere
unless you make the start—the earlier the better. Once started, let no
one discourage you. Anything worth having is worth striving for.

The advantages of an early start are manifest. This campaign is of
such short duration that immediate action is necessary for success. Or­

Extra V ote Schedule
Between the opening date and December 17 each $10 worth
of subscriptions sold will entitle the contestant to a bonus vote
ballot good for 100,000 extra votes. Between the dates of De­
cember 17 and December 31 each $10 worth will earn 80,000 ex­
tra bonus votes. Between December 31 and January 7 each $10
worth will earn 70,000 extra votes and during the final week
extra votes will be issued at the rate of 60,000 for each $10 club.
During the candidate's first week, each subscription will
entitle the candidate to 50,000 extra votes. (No limit). And be­
tween December 4 and December 10, which will be known as
Opportunity Week, each five-year subscription will earn 150,-
000 extra votes and each club of five 1-year subscriptions will
earn a ballot good for 100,000 extra votes.

No paid employe of this newspaper will be permitted to enter the
campaign.
No assertion, statement or promise, either written or verbal, by
candidates other than as outlined in this announcement will be recog­
nized by the publisher or the campaign department.
Votes are not transferable. Candidates cannot withdraw in favor
of another candidate. Should a candidate withdraw from the contest,
then his or her votes will be canceled.
Any collusion on the part of the candidates to nullify competition
or any other combination arrangement of effort detrimental to other
candidates, will not be tolerated by this newspaper. Any candidate tak­
ing part or entering into such an agreement will forfeit all right to
prize or commission
It is distinctly understood that candidates will be responsible for
all moneys collected and that they will remit such amounts in full at
frequent intervals or on demand, to the campaign department.
There will be a cash commission given to all candidates who do not
win a prize, but it is distinctly understood that in the event any candi­
date becomes INACTIVE by failing to make a cash report at least once
each week, he or she will, at the discretion of the management, become
disqualified and therefore forfeit all right to a prize or oommission.
This newspaper reserves the right to amend or to add to the prize
list, and amend the rules of this campaign If necessary for the protec­
tion of both the candidates and this newspaper.
This newspaper guarantees fair and impartial treatment to all can­
didates, but should any question arise, the decision of the management
will be conclusive and final.
In the event of a tie for any of the prizes, a prize identical will be
given each of the tieing contestants.
It is agreed and understood that winners of the major awards will
accept their weekly pay checks as payment on the major awards and
such payments will be deducted from the amount of their major
awards.
In acoepting nominations candidates agree to abide by the above
conditions.
