For these reasons the effort has

The Sentinel is pleased that its
intention to be fair is recognized
by so keen an observer ns Mr.
Addis.
As to several of the appointments
referred to by Mr. Addis he seems
to have it on Tho Sentinol. The
appointment of Mr. Mickle is ono.
Mr. Micklo had filled the office
with distinction and ha<l retired
because holding the office was
really a sacrifice. His appointment
by Pierce came as a result of the
death of C. L. Hawley, who had
held the office at the sacrifice
of his own personal interests.
It is hardly fair to call Spence
a republican. He trains with ci cry
radical party that comes along.
Nominally, of course, Abrams is
a republican, but he supported
Walter Pierce for governor—ami
his appointment was made by tho
board of control.

Put Yourself On Our
Payroll for 1925
THE PAYROLL of a great service institution
necessarily is a large one. Part of it represents
money paid for labor and part of it is wages paid to
the money invested in huge, wideflung physical
properties.
BECAUSE WE MUST GROW STEADILY to supply
ever increasing demands for service we must build
improvements, additions and extensions every year.
If you care to put out your money to work enlarging
the service properties we can place you on our payroll
and assure you liberal income checks as regularly as
the four seasons of the year.
LARGE NUMBERS of our customers and employes
are also part owners of this company. They know that
their investment is safe, dependable and satisfactory.
They know that their money has helped to build up
the community they are most interested in.
