Dec. 1.—A. M. Winn and family spent Thanksgiving day at the Aden Miller home. Thursday night they stayed at the home of Airs. M. 0. Smith and Friday night at C. H. Haight’s in Delight Valley. Lyle Jackson, a Walker high school alumnus, who camo home from Oregon Agricultural college a few days ago, went to Portland Friday for a major operation. Ho was accompanied by his parents aud his sister Lois. Both the girls’ and boys’ basket ball teams will play Yoncalla high school at Drain Thursday. Lionel Haight and Lester Porter of tuu University of Oregon, and Lyle Jackson, of Oregon Agricul- tural college, visited the Walker high school Wednesday. Enelse, Daniel, Barbara, Milton, and Airs. Janzen and Clita Walden were visitors hero during Thanksgiving vacation. A largo crowd attended play, “Safety First,’’ which given at the high school Thursday night.
