Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Marlow are visiting this week with Mrs. Mar­ low’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sutherland. They are expecting to leave for Arizona Friday. Mrs. Laura Hunter and Mrs. J. O. Croston of Kearney, Neb., moth­ er and sister of Mrs. O. W. White, came Thursday for a three week’s visit at the White home. Mr. Burnside and daughters, who recently returned to Cottage Grove from California, were at Ixmdon Sunday. Mrs Anna Carmiehel and two daughters, Mrs. T. J. Geer and Mrs. D. A. McDowell, all of Red­ mond, are visiting at the Robert J Powell home. Mrs. Powell is a daughter of Mrs. Geer. London and Calapooya springs have become so famous, a bunch of sea gulls came over from the ♦ east Friday to look the country over. Evidently they were not satisfied for, after a short investi­ gation, they departed. The London ball team played the Walker team at Walker Sunday. The scora was 17 to 7 in favor of j Walker. Mrs. Harriett Hays has been quite ill for the past week. Several members of the church at this place took lunch baskets and motored to Central View Sunday and attended church at that place, and later all enjoyed a basket din ner together.
