PAGE EIGHT DELIGHT VALLEY. (Special to The Sentinel.) July 22.—Mr. and Mr«. Caahatt and Mrs. Ipha Knox and little daughter, of Salem, motored up to the E. J. Hears place Tuesday. All went to Belnap and Foley springs Wednesday, returning Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Cushatt returned to Salem Saturday but Mrs. Knox remained for a longer visit. Mrs. Cashatt, Mrs. Knox and Mrs. Sears are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Hodges and little son went to Medford la.it week on a visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Witcher ac- eompanied the L. J. Allen family, of Sutherlin, on a week’s motor trip, leaving here Monday of last week for Garibaldi. They visited relatives at several points, returning Monday evening. Lawrence Monticth returned from Portland Friday. Miss Mary Haight was home over the week end from the U. of O. Mrs. Lola Heffer and little son and mother, Mrs. A. Gardner and Mrs. Morgan and daughter, of Marshfield, attended service at the Methodist chorch Sunday and visited at the home of Mrs. Shade Burcham. Mrs. A. G. Nelson and sons, Clarence and Herbert, left Sunday for Central America, where they ex pect to join Mr. Nelson, who is a missionary in that field. Mrs. Nelson will accompany Mr. and Mrs. Peter Darnell to Galesburg, Ill., where her parent, will make their home with their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs, Jesse Darnell. Mr. aud Mrs. James Hinds, of Oakridge, visited Saturday and Hun day at the Will Dirrell home. They were friends in Pennsylvania twenty years ago. Van Darnell has moved his family to the creek. They will occupy the Peter Darnell home. Byron Winslow and family and Nettie Estes arrived Sunday even ing from Forest Grove, where they had been for some time. Word has been received from Colorado from the Whaley and Cochran families of their arrival in that state. The Allen families visited in Cottage Grove Sunday.
