Friends of Miss Rita Ridings,
formerly of this city but now of
Eugene, will be interested to know
that Miss Ridings has just success
fully undergone an operation for
goiter in a Portland hospital. Miss
Ridings suffered from the goiter for
more than a year, most of which
time she was in a hospital in
Portland. The goiter affected her
heart aud prevented an operation
with a general anaesthetic until
rocently. Sho had just completed
her junior year at the University of
Oregon when she suffered a nervous
breakdown and the goiter began to
bother her.
