Outside of the bad feelin g t h a t would
prevail in those p a r ts of the county
which have g o tte n little or none of the
bond money, Mr. Adams calls a t t e n ­
tion to the fa ct t h a t the repeal of th e
bonds would mean that Lane county
could not m atch fe d era l fu n d s which
alone will a m o u n t to a million dollars
for a period of a very few years.
Mr. A dam s calls a t t e n t i o n to the
fact th at only through good roads can
we look f o r w a r d to the in te nsive d e ­
velopment of a g r ic u ltu r e a n d of th e
to u ris t crop. The l a t t e r he sa ys should
w ithin a few y e a r s amount to millions
a nnually t o r L ane county alone and
from this crop we should e x p ec t m any
to locate p e rm a n en tly amt a ssist in
p a y in g o f f the bonds.
