Fore leg o f mutton, 1 cup rice, 1 small onion, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 % cups canned tomatoes. Cut meat from hone into pieces 2 inches square. Mince onions, wash rice. In a buttered ens sc role put n layer o f meat, then n layer of rice and so on until all is used. Add onion to tomatoes with salt and pep per. Pour over meat and rice in cas serole. Add water to cover. Cover and cook in n slow oven for two hours. Adil more water as necessary. • • • Fruit Puffs. Two cups flour, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder. Bent yolks nail sugar together, beat whites nnd add milk and flour with tne linking powder; put in hut tered cups, first layer o f dough, then layer o f fruit nnd repeat until nbour three fourths full.
