Mrs. Kogers, whoso muiden name was Dickinson, was born in New Brunswick, Canada, where she married Amuziah Kogers, who survives. They moved to Maine and to Oregon 34 years ago, living at Astoria and Lo rune before coming here 21 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Kogers removed to Port land a year or so ago. The following children survive: Warren Kogers, Se attle; Mrs. Bessie Izidy, Hheridan, Ore.; Mrs. Carrie Ozmeut, Portland; Percy Kogers, Cottage Grove; Walter Kogers, iu a hospital in X’ortland, and Mrs. Eliza Longworth, of Portland. THREE WOMEN ARE ON CIRCUIT COURT JURY Mrs. Martha Fisk, Mrs. Agnes Me I.oan and Mrs. Nettie Kress Penning ton, all o f Eugene, were the first worn en to serve on n circuit court jury in Lane county, Mrs. Fisk being (he rirst one to be drawn. These women were chosen iu the first ease up for trial, that o f Elmer Kussell and Thomas J. Bailor against K. K. Gibson and J. M. Gibson, in which the plaintiffs sought to recover the sum o f $3ti3 ou account o f alleged misrepresentation iu the sale o f a span o f horses to the plaintiffs. The nine other jurors were Thomas L. Green, Charles M. Emery, Archie O. Knowles, Gilbert Tyson, L. E. Parks, James Lockerbie, Arthur Pirtle and Alexander Lewis. The case lusted all o f one day and part o f another. The three women who sat throughout the session said ufter court had adjourned that it was quite an experience for them but they had rather the eases would be shorter than this one.
