Notice is hereby given that sealed
bids for furnishing material and con­
structing bitulithic pavement, curbing,
subdrains and catch basins in the City
of Cottage Grove, will be received by
the City Recorder at his office, up to
the hour of 8 o’clock p. m., Saturday,
July 16, 1910, at which time said pro­
posals will be opened in the City Hall,

10,000 square yards, besides concrete
curbing, subdrains and catch basins, in

proved by the Mayor, June- 20, 1910,
and the profile, plans and specifications,
accompanying said Ordinance, and now
on file in the office of the City Record­
er.
All bids should state the full contract
price per square yard for paving, price
per lineal foot for curbing, and for sub­
drains, price each for catch basins and
price per square yard for excavating
and filling.'
All of such improvement street above
named shall be awarded in one con­
tract; save and except the Common
Council reserves the right to award a
separate contract for catch basins and
other surface drainage construction of
said street.
All proposals that have not been sub­
mitted heretofore by tentative bids,
with check accompanying same, should
be accompanied with a certified check
on some responsible banking institu­
tion, payable to the City of Cottage
Grove, Oregon, for five per centum
of amount of said bid or bids and to
any unsuccessful bidder said check will
be returned but should any successful
bidder fail to enter into a contract in
accordance with above Ordinance on
which bid is accepted, and plans and
specifications accompanying same,
within ten days after said bid or bids
are accepted, such check will thereby
be forfeited to the City of Cottage
Grove as liquidated damages for such
failure.

o’clock, and will be planted at the ear­
liest moment. Ten thousand will go to
Mosby creek, 10,000 to Layng creek,
10,000 to the Coast Fork, and 10,000 to
Brumbaugh creek. Those for Layng
creek will be taken thither by the Ore­
gon & Southeastern tomorrow morning, |
while the others will be taken by wag­

cial club has been at work for months
to secure the trout, and it is sincerely
to be hoped that when planted they
will be protected. This is iinportant
in order to stock the streams.
