Hill, of the Brown Lumber Co., is in receipt of a letter from the East in which it is stated that the Standard Alcohol Co. claims to have a process from which they produce from one ton of sawdust twenty gallons of Ethyl alcohol, fully as good as that produced from corn or barley, and that the Cobb Mitchell Company of Cadallac, Mich., has a plant which it uses for turning sawdust and refuse into wood alcohol. The campaign for the saving, of the by products of the mill is increasing.
