10 in other words april16 2020 On the Shelves By Shannon Romtvedt The Library is still closed to the public to help slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout Oregon. Library staff will be in the building from 10 am - 2 pm, Monday - Saturday to answer questions by phone or email. We can also provide materials and a few services without the public in the building. Please read the “Did You Know” section of this article for details. The Oregon Primary Election is coming up on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. The Library is an official ballot drop site. Ballots must be received by 8 pm on Election night to be counted. While the Library is closed to the public, ballots can be put in our book drop. Our book drop is located on the front of the Library, by the parking lot. Staff will transfer ballots from the book drop into our indoor ballot box. Thank you to El Donna and Grant Williams, Troy Thomas, and Cici Bell for volunteering to help deliver books to community members. This service is available to individuals who are unable to leave their home to pick up items from our outdoor cart. If you would like library materials and are unable to leave your home, please contact the Library to request items and set up a delivery. Did You Know: Library Services Available During Closure is in the building. Contact staff with information on how we sanitize and “quarantine” incoming materials for recirculation. Printing: The Library can offer limited printing services while we are closed. Please contact the Library by phone or email with what you need printed. Prints will be available for outdoor pick- up at a scheduled time. Prints are $.10 a page and change can be left on the pick-up cart or put through the book drop in an envelope. At this time, copying and faxing services are not available. R&S Market is able to provide these services. Please contact R&S for more information on their rates. Crafts: For our young children in the area who enjoy our storytime and craft table, the Library will provide a weekly craft for outdoor pick-up. Please take only one per child per week.
