Dewey married Virginia La
Nelle Vanderford, March 29, 1953 and
were married 55 years. To her family and
friends she was Nelly. They were a lov-
ing couple and raised five children with
love for each other and family. Nelly
died November 6, 2008; Dewey missed
her and talked about her to anyone who
would listen.
Dewey’s surviving sisters are
Julia Paulsen of Los Lunas, New Mexi-
co, and Delcie Taylor of Oologah, Okla-
homa. His children are Dewey Allen
Deweber Sr., his wife Sandy and 3 sons
and 3 daughters; Stanley Eugene and his
wife Cynthia, and 1 daughter and 1 son;
John Martin Deweber and his wife Pa-
mela, 2 sons and 1 daughter; Jacqueline
La Nelle Jury, 1 son and 1 daughter; Vir-
ginia Jane Griffith and 2 sons. Mickey
and Korina Buehrer, and their 4 sons are
part of the family. Dewey has 16 grand-
children and 27 great-grandchildren.
Dewey wore many hats in his
life - husband, father, minister, and
salesman. He had many different jobs
that were never the same; always so
that he could provide for his family.
He also worked with the mentally dis-
abled; later when the family had grown
he worked as a substitute and as foster
grandparent helping children in different
schools. He would become a clown and
do magic and science tricks for children,
and also seniors living in rest homes.
Dewey loved people and rejoiced when
his children married and he loved ev-
ery grandchild and great-grandchild he
had. Dewey could be very mischievous,
loved a joke, also loved to paint plastic
eggs for Easter and Christmas. He loved
parties and the gathering of his family.
Dewey loved God and wanted people to
know that not only did he love them and
would be praying for them but that they
were also loved by God and that Jesus
paid the price for them.
Burial will be at Arcade Cemetery
North Plains/Pumpkin Ridge, Oregon.

Long-time Los Gatos, Califor-
nia resident Kenneth Allan Benjamin,
DDS died peacefully January 28, 2019,
surrounded by his loving family, follow-
ing a long illness.
Ken was born in Detroit, Michi-
gan on May 11, 1944, to the late Ethel
and Edward Benjamin. He earned his
degree in dentistry from the Univer-
sity of Detroit and an advanced degree
in endodontics from the University of
Michigan. He served the community as
an endodontist for more than 30 years.
His retirement in 2004 allowed
Ken to pursue photography full-time.
His remarkable photos, often on display
in Los Gatos, took his audiences from
the streets of Los Gatos to an African
wild game reserve. He captured the uni-
versal spirit of children from around the
world, Europe, Nepal, Kenya, Guate-
mala, France, and his favorite continent,
Africa. The community of Los Gatos
consistently selected Ken as their favor-
ite photographer.
