Looking at my phone’s weather forecast recently there has been a
lot of snowflake symbols. My grandkids sure did enjoy SNOW ON
THE BEACH at Cannon Beach. It was a real delight to see such a
sight.
BUT THINGS WERE HOT at our Senior Board meeting as we
progress towards our new building. Again we wish to thank City
Administrator Josette Mitchell and the Vernonia City Council in
many areas as they have provided us a place to operate our Senior
Thrift Store, and helping us get our future place of operation off
the ground this year. Read this column for progressing details.
WE STILL RECEIVE inquiries about free tax help for seniors, a service
that has been provided in the past at our former building. Please
call the Scappoose Community Center at (503) 543-2047 for help
with your tax needs.
