Local Logging Outfit Takes Part in ODOT Bridge Project

worked on clearing trees around a bridge
on Highway 47 on February 22-23. The
work required temporary closures of the
highway while crews were falling trees
close to the road and doing clean up.
The bridge is scheduled for
replacement by Oregon De-
partment of Transportation (ODOT) this
spring/summer.
The bridge, located just south of
the Columbia/Washington County line,
will require the complete closure of the
2018
15
highway and a detour on Timber Road
for up to 60 days.
An exact date for the bridge re-
placement has not yet been announced
by ODOT, but sources say the closure
could begin as early as April, depending
on weather.
