In Memory of...
Valerie Peters
Tiffini Meyer
Valerie Peters of St.
Helens passed away in
her home on December 3,
2017 at the age of 57.
Valerie was very artis-
tic and she loved garden-
ing. She combined these
passions into a career as a
florist. An eclectic style
led to whimsical home
décor that displayed her
great sense of humor with
things like fishing lure
mobiles and empty frames
hanging on the wall. A
natural golfer, her powerful softball swing gave her a
great long game from the first time she played just a few
years ago when Val and her family started playing regu-
larly at the Vernonia Golf Course. She was a great poker
player so there were sighs of relief at the Vernonia Lions
Club Texas Hold ‘em Tournaments when she moved to
St. Helens.
Born in Portland, Oregon, she lived in Lake
Oswego for much of her childhood but completed her
education in Salem. After marrying Dan Granholm
nearly 30 years ago, they moved to the coast where Val
remained for much of her adult life, raising her son John
Granholm, who was the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dan,
a stepson Jesse, and her parents Edward and Elspbeth
Peters.
She is survived by her son John and her three
stepsons David, Josh, and Simon; brother William; sis-
ter Victoria; sister-in-law Thyra; and niece and partner
Dannette and David and their children Caleb and Allie;
and nephew and partner Brandon and Nikole and their
children Kaylee and Kamron.
A wake will be held April 8, 2018 at noon at 876
E. Alabama Ave, Vernonia.

On February
13th, 2018 the
world lost an-
other wonder-
ful soul, Tiffini
Meyer. Tiffini
was born at
St.Vincent’s on
April 17, 1989.
She grew up in
Beaverton and
graduated from
Beaverton High School in 2007. After graduat-
ing she went to Concordia College for a degree
in Medical and Dental Assistance. She loved
camping, fishing with her Dad, crafts, and “mak-
ing something out of nothing.”
Tiffini was a mother, wife, daughter, sis-
ter, and friend. She left behind her two beauti-
ful children Maddie and Landon, and her loving
husband Raymond Meyer. She had a vivid per-
sonality with an abundance of smiles and laugh-
ter. Tiffini made a huge impact in so many lives,
as well as the Vernonia community. She coached
soccer for Vernonia Youth Soccer and Portland
Parks and Rec.
Tiffini was a free spirit who left us too
soon. She was spunky and fun, and always want-
ed the most out of life.
Her services were held on Friday, Febru-
ary 23 and Saturday, February 24. If you wish
to help the family there is an account open at
Wauna under the name “Meyer Family Fund.”
Tiffini
was
someone unforgettable
and will be missed
greatly.
