travel. Worry may expose you to conflict and ac-

Libra
(September
22-October 22) Love and passion are most fa-
vorable after the 22nd. Otherwise, there are frus-
trations, upsets, even secret and forbidden ex-
periences. Work is very active and excellent for
communication, calculations and any demanding
travel. After the 10th life settles down. Your immu-
nity may be low. Pay attention to finances.
Aries (March 21-April 19) There is a lot of com-

In summary, Willer says his main message
is that Wall Street timber ownership does not pay
their fair share of taxes, and that management and
financial practices have led to a sharp reduction in
productivity and severe ecological damage. “Large
corporations own about 80% of private land in the
Coast Range of Oregon, yet you have your biggest
land owners not paying taxes. Historically they
were happy to pay taxes and they were profitable for
years. Now they don’t pay taxes. Billionaires are
making more and grabbing all increases in income.
It’s not like these billionaires live here, but they own
our land base, and I don’t think we’re talking about
it.”
Willer said that the Coast Range Associa-
tion is continuing to gather and analyze data which
they can share with a broad array of Oregon organi-
zations and citizens in an effort to encourage chang-
es to forest practices and take the power away from
corporate owners. “We are still deciding what types
of things we can advocate for and where we see op-
portunities for reform,” says Willer.
“There is a lot of information and data yet
to be explored,” says Willer. “There could be a pub-
lic response to help small woodland owners, break
the monopolies, and create a more fair market in the
wood products industry for the players who aren’t
the big corporate owners.”
