to say thank you. Originally I was rais-
ing money for an Orphanage Clinic in
Mandalay, Myanmar. After Ms. Willard
read a news article from One Dollar For
Life, she saw that the money for the or-
phanage was already raised. Quickly,
she came to me and with the help of the
leadership class we discussed what oth-
er project within the ODFL organization
we would like to send our money to. We
finally decided on the building of some
much needed classrooms in Villa Japon,
in Tipitapa, Nicaragua.
The project will build three ad-
ditional classrooms designed to be flex-
ible with moving walls to work even-
tually as a big auditorium. A multipur-
pose room will also be built, which will
provide space for a library, computer
lab, teacher’s meeting room and media
room for video projection. A small por-
tion will also be allocated for the school
principal’s office. This community of
rice and cattle farmers is expected to
need a high school soon and some of the
classrooms will possess the ability to be
used for those classes on weekends and
in evenings. Some adult vocational edu-
cation classes are also anticipated.
I cannot thank this commu-
nity enough for the support! My goal
was to raise $1,000 because I felt this
was a solid amount that would have to
make me work hard to achieve it. The
total profit for One Dollar for Life was
$1,150.46.
I would like to give a special
thanks to all of the businesses in town
that allowed me to put donation boxes
in their stores: Black Iron Grill, R&S
Market, Creatures, Napa Auto Parts,
and Vernonia Post Office.
I would also like to thank the
elementary school teachers for keeping
boxes and encouraging the students to
donate, and all of the high school grades
for doing fundraisers to contribute.
Lastly, I would like to thank
Marla Paden and Julie Ramsey for their
generous donations to the cause. Every
dollar makes a difference. By work-
ing together we can accomplish great
things!
Thank you again everyone.

Bell is one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet.
Bell will do anything for a ball and would enjoy
having a new owner to continue her training. She
would do best with older children since she is very
bouncy and cats are far too exciting for her. Bell
does really well with other dogs and would love to
have a dog friend in her forever home. She is just
about 2 years old and weighs in right around 50
lbs. She will be sure to liven up your home. Her
adoption fee is $250 and includes all her vaccinations, her micro chip and her
spay. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email.
