using skills in building trades, including
carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting

To qualify, applicants must have two
years of visitor services experience
(e.g. rule enforcement; interpretation
such as education and environmental
awareness programs; special events
and activities) AND/OR maintenance
experience (e.g. construction trades,
landscaping). OR an associate’s de-
gree in Park and Recreation Administra-
tion or Natural Resource Management
or Environmental studies and 6 months
of visitor service experience AND/OR
mainteaance experience.

About the Oregon Invasive Species
Council
The OISC is a group of repre-
sentatives from state and public agen-
cies, scientists, educators and members
of the public who lead Oregon’s fight
against the threat of invasive plants and
animals. They collaborate with a wide
group of people to spearhead initiatives
to increase citizen understanding and in-
volvement in protecting the state against
the harms of invasive species.
The council was created by the
Oregon Legislature in 2001 and receives
funding through a variety of state, fed-
