Worth the Trip:
Historic Columbia River Highway
Vista House at Crown Point for another dramatic view
of the Gorge in both directions. Built between 1916
and 1918 by Multnomah County this stone structure
sits 733 feet above the river. It was closed in 2000
and underwent a fi ve year, $4 million renovation, re-
opening in the summer of 2005.
