Vernonia Graveyard Dash Results
If you noticed adults and children running
down Bridge Street in costumes a few days before
Halloween, you were witnessing the first annual
Graveyard Dash that took place in Vernonia on
October 29, 2016.
Twenty runners participated in the event
sponsored by Hands on Art. Proceeds from the
race benefit an Arts Scholarship at VHS. Chip-
timing was provided by Scovel Racing for 3K and
6K dashes that started at the Vernonia Memorial
Cemetery on Bridge Street and extended to
Vernonia Pioneer Cemetery on Keasey Road.

the ball drops in Times Square, a complimentary champagne toast
will be served at 9:00 pm Pacific Standard Time.
Attendance is limited to 100 persons. Cost is $50 per
person. Reservations are required and may be made by calling Elsa

The Clatskanie River Inn is offering a special rate for
overnight accommodations for those attending the New Year’s Eve
