Kelly D. Fultz

Kelly D. Fultz, 39, a resident
of the Vernonia community, died
Wednesday afternoon, July 13, 2016.

Kelly Don Fultz, born Decem-
ber 2, 1976 in Longview, Washington,
the son of Terry T. Fultz and Sharon
“Gail” (Firth) Fultz.

At the age of four years old he
moved with his family to Vancouver
and then to Lake Oswego, where he was
raised and received his education. Kelly
then attended Medical School in Al-
buquerque, New Mexico, where he re-
ceived his Licensed Physician Assistant
Certification.

Kelly assisted several physicians
in the Portland/Metro area for several
years. Kelly was currently employed by
a subdivision of the Intel Corporation
in Hillsboro and worked as a technician
since April of 2015.

He was a member of the
National Physique Committee for many
years. Kelly competed and won the Mr.
Oregon bodybuilding title in 2002, and
he won the N.W. Championship overall
bodybuilding title in 2003. Kelly spent
roughly five years traveling about the

Among his special interests he

his personal training tour he met up with
members of a popular rock band and
actually toured with them for several
months as a stage hand grip, and on
several occasions the band introduced
him and Kelly played several solo
guitar performances which brought the
crowd(s) to their feet. He was a self-
taught “picker” and could play songs on
request.

Kelly’s gentle and happy go
lucky kind of life was genuinely unique;
everyone who knew him or even just
shared the pleasure of his acquaintance
revealed to others that he had touched
their lives in a memorable way. Kelly
displayed a personality that surely left a
lasting impression on all who knew him
well as well as those who simply just
knew him.

Survivors include his parents,
Terry Fultz and Gail Fultz of Vernonia;
and his brother, Chief Warrant Officer
John Fultz serving in the U.S. Coast

FUND, c/o Terry’s Gym, 16720 Noakes
Road, Vernonia, Oregon 97064, which
will soon be renamed Kelly’s Gym in his
