In Memory of...
Daryl S. Tuttle
Daryl S. Tuttle, 49, a resident of
the Vernonia community, died Sunday,
February 7, 2016 doing what he loved.
A Potluck Celebration of Life
Service was held on Sunday, February
14, 2016 from Noon – 4:00 pm at the
Cabin in Vernonia, 901 Park Drive
in Vernonia, with Pastor John Cahill,
officiant.
Daryl Scott Tuttle was born on
November 22, 1967 in Boise, Idaho,
the son of Kay Schrenk and Connie
(Markam) Wegner. He lived in Albion,
Idaho until the age of 4; the family then
moved to Hayburn, Idaho. At the age
of 2 his mother married Dale Tuttle and
Daryl was adopted by Dale at the age
of 10. His mother and he moved to La
Grande, Oregon, where she met and
married Dave Wegner. In the fifth grade
they moved to Alaska where he was
raised and received his education. At the
age of 16 he moved to Cambridge, Idaho.
At the age of 18 he moved to Burley,
Idaho until 1991 and to La Grande where

spending time with his family.
Daryl is preceded in death by his
stepfather, Dave Wegner; grandparents
Robert and Galena Markham; and a
brother Randy Tuttle.
Survivors include his life partner,
Elana Brasure of the family home in
Vernonia, Oregon; his mother, Connie
Wegner of Meridian, Idaho; his adopted
father, Dale Tuttle of Wasila, Alaska;
his birth father, Kay (Portia) Schrenk of
Declo, Idaho; his four children, Rusty
Campo of St. Helens, Oregon; Robby
(Byanca) Campo of Prineville, Oregon;
Jessica Llanos (Adam Schmidt) of
Vernonia, Oregon and Joseph (Mary
Lynn) Brasure of Vernonia, Oregon; his
five brothers, Jared (Becky) Schrenk
of Declo, Idaho; Marc (Bri) Schrenk
of Murtaugh, Idaho; Brett Schrenk
of Castle Fort, Idaho; Travis (Faith)
Wegner of Meridian, Idaho; Dustin
(Lindsey) Wegner of Bend, Oregon and
his sister, Amy (Guy) Durfee of Rupert,
Idaho; stepsister Jennifer Reinhart
of Newport,Oregon; stepbrother Jeff
Wegner of Vancouver,Washington.
Also surviving are his seven
grandchildren, Zayden, Charlie, Kyla,
Brody, Caylee, Gavin and Jay and
numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that
remembrances may be contributions to
the family to assist in funeral costs and
raising his two grandchildren, 61151

Albert “Al” Franklin Woolsey,
born March 23, 1932, died January
26, 2016 at age 83. Although born in
Hillsboro, Oregon, his parents, Albert
Alexander and Hazel Elizabeth Woolsey,
raised him and three younger siblings

A Trusted Name in Funeral Service
worked in the saw mill. Al enlisted in the
United States Army at age 17 and served
as supply sergeant in Okinawa, Japan
through the Korean War.
Al married Germaine (Gerry)
Marie Boyd while still in the service.
They raised five children in Vernonia
and Newport, Oregon and were married
for more than 35 years. Over the course
of his lifetime, Al worked in a variety
of careers, including logging, auto
mechanics, commercial fishing, and
long haul trucking. He had a passion
for the Lord, Christian music ministry,
motorcycles, and for aviation – building
and flying remote control airplanes.
June 30, 1996, Al married
Cecelia Grace DelCamp and they lived
in Custer, Montana, then Sun Lakes,
Arizona. He and Cecelia drove long haul
together and engaged in Christian music
ministry until their retirement in 2005.
With Cecelia, he enjoyed the sunshine
and extended family in Arizona in their
retirement.
Al is survived by a number of
nieces and nephews and first, second, and
third cousins on his mother’s side of the
family, and by his five children and their
families: Robert and Cheryl Lettenmaier
(daughter, 57) of Toledo; William “Bill”
Woolsey (son, 55) and Elizabeth White
of Scappoose; Matthew Woolsey (son,
51) and Jill Anderson of Newport;
Les and Tryna Luton (daughter, 49) of
Eugene; Brenda Woolsey (daughter, 46)
of Aloha; and his former wife Gerry
Woolsey of Gleneden Beach. He is also
survived by his younger sister, Linda
Jung, of Yuma, Arizona.
In addition, Al is survived by
his wife, Cecelia, and members of her
family: Vena Lahn and her husband Dan
Otis, Lonna Wilson and her husband
Larry Wilson, 10 grandchildren, and 8
great grandchildren.
Two memorial services are
being held. The first was held at the
National Memorial Cemetery in Cave
Creek, Arizona on February 11, 2016.
The second service will be held at
the home of his cousin Dolores Van
Domelen-Frantz at 19441 NW Dairy
Creek Road, North Plains, Oregon, on
March 12, 2016 at 1:30 pm.
