McCord Crowned
Rodeo Princess
Makayla McCord of Vernonia was
crowned as Columbia County Rodeo
Princess at a coronation ceremony on
January 9, 2016. Ms. McCord, a 2015
graduate of Vernonia High School,
is the daughter of Dan and Kristina
McCord. Makayla says she intends to
try out for Rodeo Princess again next
year. “Being a rodeo princess means
more than just a crown,” says Makayla.
“You give kids hope and you’re a big
idol to them!”
