20 obituaries/classified ads april16 2015 In Memory of... Jesse E. DePue Jesse E. DePue, 31, a resident of the Vernonia community, died Thursday evening, March 26, 2015 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. JESSE EARL DEPUE was born May 20, 1983 in Bend, Oregon, the son of Steven J. DePue and Marjorie (Williamson) DePue. He was raised and received his education in the community of Gilchrist, Oregon. He had resided in the community of Gilchrist until he moved to the Vernonia community, where he had resided since. Jesse had worked as a carpenter in the construction industry and later as a logger in the timber industry for Big Guns Logging in Vernonia. Among his special interests he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his boys play sports, spending time with his family and helping others. He was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Williamson; his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Earl DePue; his cousin, Dennis Jordan; his uncle, Doug Drake and his maternal grandfather, John Williamson. Survivors include his partner Shana Banzer of Vernonia, his sons Camren and Brandon DePue of Vernonia; his dad and mom Steven and Stormwolf DePue of Oregon City, Oregon; his maternal grandmother Margaret Williamson of Redding, California; his other maternal grandmother Marian Baker of Redding, California; his sisters Opal DePue of Oakridge, Oregon, Lacie Anderson of Frenchtown, Montana and Jonnie Ernst of La Pine, Oregon, Crystal Kohn of La Pine, Oregon, Alisa Schliesmann of Dayton, Ohio, Tiki Wilson of Medford, Oregon, Ricci Kalnins of Oregon City, Oregon; his brother Harley Wilson of St. Helens, Oregon; his aunts and uncles Sharon and Louie Jordan of Bend, Oregon, Earlene and Bobby Woods of Chico, California, Sandra Drake of Crescent, Oregon, Dave and Angie DePue of Gilchrist, Oregon and Linda DePue of Crescent, Oregon; his nieces and nephews Jonathan, Thomas and Shamus Anderson all of Frenchtown, Montana, Paige Ernst of La Pine, Oregon, Michael and Parker Rust of Medford, Oregon, Fabian-Ray, Lola, Jonnie and Eli Salas all of Oregon City, Oregon, Atheena, Levi and Chance Wilson of Vancouver, Washington, Angelina and Junior Ornelas of St. Helens, Oregon; a multitude of cousins who loved Jesse dearly and very special family Larry and Debbie Fish of Vernonia, Oregon. Craft, 78, a former resident of the Banks community, late of Carlton, died Thursday evening, March 26, 2015 at the Vineyard Heights Assisted Living Facility in McMinnville. Private Family Service will be held. RALPH HARRY CRAFT was born on June 14, 1936 in Central City, New Mexico, the son of the late Harry C. Craft and Annabelle (Gibbs) Craft. He was raised and received his education in the Banks community, having been a graduate with the Banks High School Class of 1955. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having enlisted on May 15, 1957. He served in Europe until April 22, 1959. He served active duty for 2 years, and was in the Army Reserve until receiving Honorable Discharge on May 31st, 1963 at the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. Ralph was united in marriage to Sue Ann Medearis on July 29, 1964 in Portland, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in the Portland community until 1966 when they moved back to the Banks community. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann on September 11, 2011 after celebrating over 47 years of marriage together. Following Sue’s passing Ralph moved to the Carlton community to reside with his son John and family. In December he became a guest resident at the Vineyard Heights Assisted Living Facility in McMinnville, where he had resided since. Ralph worked for Nottingham Moving and Storage in Portland for several years and was a member of Teamsters Union Local 162. He later worked as a Real Estate Broker for Pro 291 A Street Group Realty for many years until his retirement in June 2006. He was a member of the Forest Grove Elks Lodge B.P.O.E #2440; the Loyal Order of the Moose; the Banks Lions Club; The American Legion; The Sunset Park in Banks and was involved in coaching and umpiring Little League Baseball, having been instrumental in bringing the program to Banks. Among his special interests, Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting, clamming, gardening and caring for his flowers and wood working, especially making birdhouses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Annabelle Craft; and his infant son Tommy. Survivors include his children and their spouses John and Cheryl Craft of Carlton, Oregon; and Carrie Craft of Banks, Oregon; Sue Ann’s children Debra and Raymond Mott of Banks, Oregon; Byron Prickett of Tigard, Oregon; Susie Dunthorn of Banks, Oregon; his sisters and brothers-in-law, and his brothers and sisters-in-law. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Banks Fire Department, 300 S.
